You’d better be careful these days what with the economy in ruin, our first black president…a shortage of grits: the Radical Right is up in arms about whatever they believe is at fault for whatever they believe is forcing their America in the direction of godless socialism, social decline and certain ruination! Yep! those born again 10th Amendment freaks are at it again, “amassing” an army of like minded states…those states where the white sheets in the citizen’s closets are not for the beds and the woodshop out back (next to the outhouse) is not used to make rocking chairs.

But be of bold spirit and faith my friends, for the DHS (that huge bureaucracy aka the Department of Homeland Security) has been keeping their beady little eyes on these conservative nut-jobs. Most of the intel coming to the DHS is, of course, in the form of post-it notes left on the refrigerators of these brain-trust radicals discovered during staged “you’ve just won $10,000 in the Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes” stings.

These idiots should have gotten the clue when the guy that is supposed to look like Ed McMahon turned out to be Wilford Brimley. Not to mention that this sting was predicated on the premise that these loser’s could actually read.

But no matter. As long as the DHS is on the job, I feel safe and secure in the knowledge that this behemoth engine of the government not only seeks to shred my civil rights, but will actually go after that other brand of terrorist that threatens us right here at home: the Radical Right!

Federal agency warns of radicals on right

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in “right wing extremist activity,” saying the economic recession, the election of America’s first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines “rightwing extremism in the United States” as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

“It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration,” the warning says.

The White House has distanced itself from the analysis. When asked for comment on its contents, White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said, “The President is focused not on politics but rather taking the steps necessary to protect all Americans from the threat of violence and terrorism regardless of its origins. He also believes those who serve represent the best of this country, and he will continue to ensure that our veterans receive the respect and benefits they have earned.”
